okay i’m 14 years old and 4 years ago i had to carry a backpack home that wayed 10 lbs everyday..well anyway it curved my spine about .5 degrees. Well my physical was today and it’s now at 6 degrees, probably due to poor posture (i just didn’t think it’d get that bad) so i’m going into highschool and i really don’t want to wear a brace or go through surgery. Is their any exercises i can do? anything at all??? please please help me! thanks.
except my over bites are in the back of my teeth, but if i smile wide enough you could see them…
it’s a serious question this time…
btw i’m 13 (i’ve been like this since i was 8 or 9)
i don’t want to be a model
it’s not what i’m really interested in…
i never did my hair. my mom does it for me all the time she never showed me how to fix my hair.
Ever since I had my son 3 months ago I have this terrible upper back pain that is constant! I’ve tried everything sleeping on my back, getting a massage, and even wearing a back brace so my posture is better and honestly it makes the pain worse. Keep in mind I’m only about 5 feet tall and have a very large upper body if you know what I mean. lol. and it’s only gotten worse since I had my son. I work out regularly but I’ve continued to maintain tons of water weight. I was induced at 37 weeks for high blood pressure and swelling I was huge and still haven’t got rid of it all..please someone help I can’t take it anymore! I try going all day without taking tylenol or ibuprophin but I just can’t! HELP ME!
I’ve already seen my doctor and they said nothing was wrong except poor posture…which is understandable but I’ve worn a brace to correct it for 2 months and the pain is worse…
I’m trying to fix my poor posture. I bought a back brace yesterday and at first it felt great. It gave me a surprising confidence boost. Only problem is now I have neck pain from trying to keep this posture. If I suffer through the pain will it eventually go away, will my back get used to being straight?
If anyone knows any specific posture exercises, please share. I got a taste of what it’s like to have good posture, I really want this to be permanent and am willing to work on it everyday. So questions are 1. Should I continue to use this brace? and 2. Any exercises for posture would be really helpful?
I’ve been playing guitar for a bit over a couple of years now, and have started to play more technical stuff and for longer periods of time. I play right handed on a Strat, and for awhile now I’ve been experiencing some pain and stiffness in my right shoulder/blade/neck area. Note that this only occurs when I play electric guitar, and not acoustic. When I stand up though this pain is not present because I hold my guitar lower than I would play sitting down (while standing, my guitar is probably down to my waist area). When I play sitting, the guitar rests on my right thigh. I don’t think there is necessarily anything wrong with my guitar playing posture but I do suffer from poor posture with regular sitting though. I tend to slouch a bit, I think. The pain subsides if I rest for a bit, or if I only play for brief intervals of time, say maybe 10-15 minutes. Is there a remedy to this or maybe some suggestions into fixing this, or can somebody point out what may possibly be wrong?
i have really poor posture and have gone to physical therapy twice. it helps for a while but then my back just keeps hurting. it’s my upper back that is in pain (bottom of neck to halfway down my ribs)
i feel like it’s bent forwards a little bit (like a little hunch) i hate it…it hurts!
i try to lay down on the floor and pop it out but it hurts worse after sometimes.
should i get a back brace?
I am a male age 23 and I noticed my spine has an exaggerated lordic and kypotic curve, so from the side my posture looks like an ‘S’, not like scoliosis which from behind looks like an ‘S’. The curvature is not very extreme and has not caused me any back problems that I am aware of. It could be genetic or due to poor posture, I am not sure, but I do think it is unattractive and not normal and am wondering if it is possible to straighten my spine without surgery and without a back brace. I have seen various exercise programs on the internet that suggest it is possible but I would like the advice of a professional, and right now I do not have the money to go see a doctor. So before I try some of these exercise programs I want to know if they will actually work and how long it will take before I see results…
