I have carpel tunnel in both wrist. I also have a problem with my upper back. I wear braces for my wrist and I go to chiropractor for my back, but that is expensive (my insurance does not cover it) I started getting pains that go from the back of my neck down to my shoulders. my doctor said it was from my carpel tunnel (I dont know how that makes sense) but she prescribed me a muscle relaxer to help with the neck pain. It helps alittle but not enough. I want to try a pain reliever but I am scared to ask my doctor for it. Do you think the pain IS caused by my carpel tunnel and how do you think I should suggest it to my doctor? Is there anything I can do in the mean time to help relieve the pain?
I am 18 years old and have had this condition for several years. Though my treatment with a back-brace ended when I was around 14, it seems like it has continued to worsen. My left ribcage sticks out over a half inch in the front, and the right makes a pretty large lump in the back. I have back pain almost constantly, so much so that sometimes I don’t even notice it. I have bad posture (I lean to the left due to the curve in my spine) because it is tiring and sometimes painful to sit up straight. My insurance refuses to cover me for my back because of the Scholiosis, so surgery is pretty much out of the question (and I’m quite afraid to have it, anyway)….but isn’t there something that can be done? I can’t imagine living like this forever!!
On Aug. 15 while crossing the street I was hit by a car. She wasn’t going fast enough to kill me but the impact from my body was enough to severely crack her windshield and turns out my shoulder got dislocated. Anyway after a night and 1/2 a day in the hospital I was discharged to go see a shoulder doctor(It’s starts with a O) I was in constant pain. I still am actually. I still feel slight pain when standing up,bending, and sleeping. My arm is in a brace and a huge black bruise is still there, but the pills I was perscribed(hydrocodone, and something that starts with an N),help a lot to dull the pain. I was only told to have 2 days for 2 weeks rehab. That’s only 4 days. Couldn’t I just try to get my arm working properly on my own. I mean paying money for only 4 days of rehab seems stupid to me.
I don’t know if the women who hit me insurance will pay my medical bills.I wasn’t using a crosswalk. I ‘m personally on BlueCross Blue Shield anyway.

I tore it the first time in wrestling in my junior year. and i tore it in basketball and native youth Olympics, also at work once. now the pain is starting to come back and i don’t have the money to go to the hospital or any insurance. I am wondering if there is shoulder treatment that I can do to get rid of the pain.
I am 23 years old and I have had Scoliosis since I was 9 the curve is towards the lower part of my spine I have never had it checked to see the degree of the curve. Everyone told me that I would grow out of it and that if I improved my posture everything would be fine. Today everything is not fine I notice that my shoulders are slightly uneven and some days I have a lot of back pain. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to improve my spine? I am no longer growing so would a back brace work? Is surgery my only option? I hope that I can still take care of this before there is nothing I can do. How expansive is treatment because I currently have no health insurance?
I have had this severe shoulder pain for the past 7 years on and off but now more frequently occurring. Lasts about 2-3 months then takes a 2-3 month break and reoccurs. I have no insurance but see a Dr when it gets bad (like now). He did an X-ray and nothing showed and wanted an MRI but to expensive. Cortisone shot but he isnt too certain which part of the shoulder is actually affected. Honestly the pain migrates around my shoulder seeming to affect different spots each time. He had me on pain meds before with an anti inflammatory which I took at night because I couldnt sleep with it either. I am concerned because last time I was there (a few months ago) He seemed like he didnt want to prescribe me them again. I dont know what else to do without a proper diagnosis and so so much pain. I am in an excelerated medical program which I cant even work for insurance…
what do you think my shoulder problem is?
How can I NOT look like I am some narcotic junkie when I need pills?
I did not have any "injury" that I can remember. My job was labor intensive back then and I worked hard. Mostly repetative motion. Overhead heavy lifting. Things of that nature.
My insurance won’t cover pain management or psychologists but it will cover Psychiatrists. I have chronic shoulder pain for over ten years now. Seeing a Chiropractor but the pain is still there.
I’m a master electrician having to lift a lot of things. I have pain even lifting a pipe. I can’t afford health insurance and I’ve had this really bad shoulder pain for 6 months now. I wish I could rest to let it heal or something but I can’t afford to for my family. What can I do while working to relieve it a little? Is there some sort of shoulder brace or a supportive pad that keeps my shoulder tight…like those knee support braces?
